My name is Armando and when I got to AA, I was still drinking. A friend in AA suggested that I join a three-month program in a sober house. There they told me that I needed to get a sponsor and that I could choose one from the house.
I picked one I liked and according to the rules of the house, I called him three times a week. It was hard for me to trust anyone. But I would tell him my feelings and what I was going through.
