Inventory in a Lonely Cell

I'M DANNY T., and I am a recovering alcoholic. It has taken me a lot of pain and agony to accept the fact that I am an alcoholic. I believe I came into contact with my Higher Power, which I believe was God.

It all happened behind closed doors, meaning cell doors of a prison. I had sort of taken my own inventory, not realizing at the time what it really meant, I said to myself, "Dan, is this the kind of life you want? You have been in and out of jails since the age of sixteen, and here you are, thirty-four years old and still behind those cell doors."
