Where We Can Learn Honesty

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS groups in prisons are among the most active of institutional groups, mainly because anyone is welcome. When a new person comes to an AA meeting, inside or outside, he or she may not be really sincere at first. But at AA meetings, we receive encouragement to want to stop drinking.

I have spent three-fourths of my life in prison. And I have found that, hard as it is to believe, drinking is the cause of imprisonment in most cases, or at least an associated cause.
