No Room for Resentment

I AM AN alcoholic who is still suffering, because I am incapable of being honest with myself. I have been sober now for twenty-three months, probably only because I have been behind bars that long.

I first found AA through a friend of mine at the Washington State Correctional Center. I felt sure I had found the program that would help me stay sober. I did everything that I was supposed to do. I went to two meetings a week, because that was the number of meetings the administration would allow us to have.
