Chairing an institution meeting was one of the rewards of his sobriety
THE GROUP is asked by the chairman to please stand, and he says, "We will open this meeting with the Serenity Prayer." Sounds like the opening of an AA meeting anywhere, right? It could be, but this is the way the Recovery Group starts its AA meeting every week at Jackson Prison. How do I know? Well, I happen to be there each Thursday for the meetings.
