I have a younger sister in Maryland whom I have been watching hit bottom for the last three years. I have really witnessed how alcoholism is a family disease. I sponsor lots of people, but it is really hard dealing with a family member. I realize how powerless I am, and how cunning, baffling, and insidious alcoholism is. I have also witnessed family denial at its finest.
