Bars Without Bartenders

I am currently serving a four-year sentence in the co-ed correctional facility in Springfield, South Dakota. Approximately one year ago this onetime college campus was closed to make room for the rising number of people coming into prison. Because it still retains the dormitory style of living and classrooms, it is hard for me to remember at times that I am in prison. Being a medium-security prison we do have two chain link fences that surround the entire grounds. Also included in this security precaution are newly installed screens that have been attached to the building outside our windows.
