Self-will Run Riot

My husband and I had been separated a few months when we decided to give it one more try after many previous attempts. Both of us being active alcoholics, our marriage was a rocky road from the beginning. This last time I had moved out of state. I was thirty-nine years old at the time. As we packed up my things and headed back home, we started to drink nonstop. But when we crossed the state line, I threw my opened can of beer into the back of our truck and stated, "I quit drinking."
