Young, Ready, Sober

Life gets real for a guy in his twenties

I'm currently in jail on an unlawful wounding charge. I just turned twenty-one. For three months, I've been in a drug block and have seen light of the Alcoholics Anonymous way.

Although I've been drinking since I was sixteen, I've never shown a sign of violence, or at least the kind that would land me in jail. On the night I came in here, I was at a local bar. I decided that I was invincible and hit a guy on the head with a liquor bottle--a big mistake.
