Recent studies of alcohol-connected traffic fatalities indicate alcoholic not social drinking is involved in the larger number (50-75%) of fatalities where drivers or pedestrians were killed after drinking.
Blood levels of 150 mg. per 100 ml. or higher were found in 71 percent of a sample of 49 such fatalities.
