Christmas and Crashes
A California state medical officer has said that fewer traffic fatalities were caused by drinking during the Christmas season than at other times of the year.
Dr. Julian A. Waller of the California State Department of Public Health said that his finding, based on autopsies of 2,000 persons killed in automobile accidents, was contrary to the commonly held belief that Christmas cheer led to an increase in highway fatalities.
