MOSCOW (Reuters)--Two schoolteachers and a collective farmer rushed into a first-aid post in a small Kirghiz town just after midnight, begging for an ambulance to bring the fanner's pregnant wife from a distant village.
The first-aid teams, along with the three men, rushed to the village, Pravda reported this week, but found the woman was not pregnant.
The three men disappeared, but later they confessed they had invented the story to get a free ride to the village, where they wanted to continue a drinking spree.
