Group Counseling for Married Alcoholics
The Marriage Council of Philadelphia has studied the interrelatedness of alcoholism and marital conflict. From 1953 to 1958, alcoholic clients were counseled individually, and from 1959 to 1964 they were counseled both in groups of husbands and wives and individually.
