GM's 'Carrot and Stick'

Almost 300 business and labor leaders, gathered at a luncheon given by the Alcoholism Recovery Institute of the Community Council of Greater New York, heard about the approach taken by the world's largest manufacturing company. James M. Roche, board chairman and chief executive officer of the General Motors Corporation, said of alcoholism:
