Starting Jan. 1, 1977, consumers in this country will be told for the first time what chemicals are being added to their beer, wine, and liquor. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has informed Congress that ingredient labeling of all domestic and imported alcoholic beverages will become mandatory on that date.
