It was found by Drs. Spencer Shaw and Charles Lieber [Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, New York] that plasma levels of Alpha Amino n-Butyric Acid are significantly elevated in comparison to leucine in subjects who have been drinking heavily and steadily.
