The Blue Cross Association in the United States has reached the halfway point in a study that could have widespread effects on the rehabilitation of alcoholics. The project, funded by a $206,000 contract with the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, will determine the feasibility of private health insurance for alcoholism.
