Opinions on Drinking Age

Fifty-six percent of adults surveyed in states where it is legal for 18- and 19-year-olds to drink alcoholic beverages favor raising the legal age to 20 or 21, according to the Gallup Poll.
Thirty-nine percent of the respondents in those 24 states said that the age should stay the same; 1% said the age should be lowered; and 4% had no opinion.
