Marijuana and alcohol combined could lead to greater alcohol tolerance and physical dependence, said Dr. Albert J. Siemens of New York's Research Institute on Alcoholism, in Buffalo.
He and co-workers tested rats given an initial dose of alcohol, then given daily amounts of either ethanol, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), or a combination of the two.
