Giving AA's Message Longer Reach
There are an estimated 20,000 alcoholics in Fairfield County, Conn., of whom fewer than a thousand have found their way to sobriety in our Fellowship. Despite the fact that there are closed or open discussion meetings every night and 10 Al-Anon meetings a week, with a warm welcome for all seeking to investigate AA, the numerical gap between active and sober alcoholics is growing wider, not narrower.

Members of the cooperating groups work hard over a three- or four-month period, making arrangements and securing maximum advance coverage in the press and over the air.
