September 2020Special Section
Welcome to 2020 through the wonder of technology, members are helping each other stay sober in very tough times
Something much bigger
I drank away my job, my best friend, my roommates and my boyfriend. Yet I didn’t see it that way.
Sober at 14
I started drinking when I was 13 and got sober when I was 14. It takes some people 30 years to reach the jumping off place. I reached the point of desperation right away.
Looking for Loopholes
I was 13 when I first got drunk. There was magic in that stuff. I’d been an angry kid and did many of the things that angry kids do, like fighting and setting fires.
Batten Down the Hatches
The first time I drank I was 14. We took some cheap beer from my friend’s dad’s fridge. I didn’t drink it because I liked the taste; I drank it for one reason only—to get drunk.
Grapevine Daily Quote August 14
“Putting principles before personalities, both inside and outside the Fellowship, does not always endear me to everyone, but I would rather be disliked for what I am than liked for what I am not.”
Count your days here.
