October 2021Special Section
This month’s special section is “Cooperation With Professionals (CPC),” featuring stories by AA members about the importance of CPC service, or members who found AA because of it. Also featuring stories of hope by members during the current COVID-19 crisis.
Once upon a time in L.A.
I come from a family of alcoholics. My father, Tex A., came into AA in March of 1941, one week after his sister Sybil became a member.
Heading toward peace
I have three constant companions: Higher Power, faith and fear. When I started this journey in AA, I couldn’t understand faith at all. And I ignored the Higher Power.
The need to identify
I got sober in November of 2015. The following April I started on my Fourth Step. It seemed simple enough, yet when summer came I hit a brick wall.
Grapevine Daily Quote September 28
“I’ve never taken my sobriety for granted because I know I’m only one drink away from ruining my life.”
