Carrying the Message
Recalled to life
I noted in the April issue (p. 39) that the Navy and Army have begun to show interest in alcoholism. If there is any evidence that the Air Force recognizes it, please print it. Our men are still losing careers, often after more than fifteen years active duty, and families are broken because of this continuing refusal of Air Force officials to admit that alcoholism is a real problem in this branch of military service.
I'm physically sober and grateful to many AA friends for being that way. But, it must be repeated that there's a big untapped potential AA membership in the Air Force.
