Serenus Serenity

THE dictionary defines serenity as a noun coming from the Latin word serenus whose first meaning is "bright, clear, and calm." I think about it this way: to our troubled lives, minds, and heart comes a quietness and calm that bring clarity to our troubles and brightness to our future lives. First there is the state of being, followed by an effect and then, the future--of peace and clarity.
