On Friday, March 20, New York State and City officials established a 100% shutdown of “non-essential” businesses and organizations. Following that order, the offices of the General Service Office of AAWS and AA Grapevine, Inc. have closed and all staff has returned home until further notice.
G.S.O. and AA Grapevine have established new “telework” procedures to protect our workforce and the general public in the weeks and months ahead. The staff of both corporations are working from home and holding regular all-employee meetings to deal with questions or outstanding issues and/or technology needs.
We will continue to assess how much of our operational capacity will have to be shut down completely and how much can continue to be managed on a remote or virtual basis throughout the telework period.
This is an unprecedented situation, and GSO and AA Grapevine’s top priority is the health and safety of our employees, as well as our efforts to serve the boards, Conference and the AA Fellowship within our scope and mission. Like so many across U.S., Canada, and the globe, we are doing our part, while continuing our commitment to our members and groups.
We look forward to resuming regular in-office operations as soon as humanly possible – and with a full and healthy workforce in place.
