Varieties of Experience

In "Back from Near Death," we hear from a member suffering from cirrhosis who got sober after nearly dying of alcoholism.

In this and other stories this week, we hear about getting sober from a variety of voices. In "Women in AA in the 1950s," we learn about what it was like for a woman to get sober when AA was still predominantly composed of men. In "Early AA in the Cariboo Mountains," a member tells the story of how his father got sober in a remote region of Canada
