Lightening Rod for Controversy?
A lack of group conscience meetings in her homegroup led her to the Twelve Concepts
Without notifying our home group that we would be voting that day, a handful of people had voted to move our large meeting to a space that was simply too small for us. It was a sly trick to call for the vote. My first reaction was shock and despair. I was sick at heart.
I just wanted to run away. Wasn't that what I had always done with alcohol, escape from the harsher realities?
As the group's treasurer, I planned to take the books to the next meeting, throw them down on the floor and say, "I quit!" I would start going to different meetings, never again joining a home group.... Login to read more
