Alcoholism doesn’t stop when you are locked up, and neither should recovery. On June 20, 2009, I made a new start to my life: I got sober and willing to do anything to stay that way.
I started working with my sponsor, actually calling in daily, going through the Big Book and the Steps, and following her directions, instead of doing things my way. What a change from when I first tried to get sober in 2008.
I renewed my relationship with my Higher Power. I asked for his guidance and protection every morning, and I thanked him every night for my sobriety and the opportunities... Login to read more
