Reaching out to the older alcoholic
There are currently an estimated 40 million adults aged 65 and older in the U.S., with another 5 million in Canada, numbers that are expected to double over the next 25 years. According to the 2011 AA Membership Survey, members over the age of 51 make up nearly half of AA’s total population.
