My Old Home Group
A member describes how he stayed connected to his old home group even after moving away
Through the grace of God, the help of a wonderful sponsor and the involvement in an AA Group, I just celebrated my 50th AA anniversary and felt compelled to share the benefits of not only the program, but the rewards of being in a loving and caring group.
The first time I joined a group, it was really just to be able to tell people that I had one. I was missing out on many things by not having a home group, but at that time I really didn't care. However, that soon changed. At my second meeting at this group, I was asked to help clean up the cups after the meeting.
