Alcoholics as Counselors

Training for alcoholism and drug-abuse program counselors is underway at the Fort Lyon, Colo., Veterans Administration hospital. Originated by the hospital's chaplain, John T. Horber, coordinator of the program and a lecturer in alcoholism at the College of Pharmacy of the University of Arizona, the program takes former [sic] alcoholics and in six months of intensive training turns them into counselors to staff treatment units.
