The author of “11 Men & a Prayer” describes how he and some fellow AAs in the California mountains got a men’s spiritual retreat off the ground, despite some unexpected obstacles. After meeting, taking a lot of action and praying, they finally got it going—a place to practice the Eleventh Step, with some fun, fellowship, horseshoes and canoeing.
