Not Like My Father At All

As I sit at my desk and write in my journal—I'm old school and prefer pen and paper to computers—I realize how very fortunate I am to be a grateful, recovering alcoholic. For so many years I was very angry at God, the world, and, especially, my biological father for "making me an alcoholic." Today, I can honestly say I'm grateful for this disease and AA. Without either I would not have the wonderful walk with the Lord I have today.
