"We return to Maui almost every year, usually during the first two weeks of October."
Shaking in my new sobriety boots, only a few weeks without a drink to my name, I embarked with my husband on a two-week trip to Maui. I left the treatment center, got home and started packing for the trip. Having previous experience in our local AA fellowship, I was able to contact my sponsor and attend a few meetings before leaving.
