AA Representative Joins U.S. Delegation to Russia

In September 1987, John B., general manager of the AA Genera! Service Office, traveled to Russia (at the invitation of the government of the U.S.S.R.) as part. of a delegation of sixteen people in the alcoholism field. The trip was part of an exchange on alcoholism and drug abuse under the auspices of the U.S. and Soviet governments. AA's participation came at the request of Nickolay Chernykh, head of the All-Union Voluntary Temperance Promotion Society (TPS).
