ACTIVE AA is good insurance we keep in force to protect us against a possible accident befalling our sobriety, individually or in groups. As progress is made from day to day we each keep our guard up to ward off any slip that could cause a hard fall. . . Not to become smug over any extended dry period, for our memory can quickly recall some nightmarish daytimes and accompanying jitters, when we reach up to touch bottom.
