Instead of resenting the Slogan Easy Does It, I have come to love it and, more important, to use it. Whenever I am faced with a problem I say Easy Does It to myself and suddenly the problem seems smaller and less important, and sometimes even solvable. When ever I become upset I say Easy Does It and Step Three comes in and takes over. It means to me whatever I want it to mean at the time, depending upon the need or the situation. It may mean different things to different people, and the meaning may change as recovery takes place. That is why, when I note a perplexed expression on the face of a newcomer hearing this Slogan for perhaps the first time, I do not bother to explain.
