My people!

I came into AA through the Navy's Alcoholic Rehabilitation Program (for which I'm very grateful). From treatment, I was sent back to my duty station at Andrews Air Force Base and became a member of the AA group there.

When leave came around, I was scared that I wouldn't find the kind of people that I knew at Andrews while I was home in West Virginia. Well, a few days after I arrived, the AA members started calling me every day, and I went to meetings every day. I grew to love them all very much. They made it easy for me to adjust. One guy was from Washington and knew a lot of the AA people that I knew in D.C. He became my West Virginia sponsor.
