I've read several articles and letters in the Grapevine about people dually addicted to alcohol and drugs. To my knowledge, no one has mentioned a third addiction: food. I came into AA through the side window of Overeaters Anonymous, and I will be forever grateful to my first AA group for the love and tolerance I was shown during the first few weeks of meetings when I would identify myself as only a compulsive overeater, not an alcoholic.
