A tight squeeze

I am writing because I want to let go of my resentment for the prevalence of the Lord's Prayer at meetings and the arrival of Christian symbols in some of our meeting places. This bothers me a lot because it breaks the spirit of the Traditions, if not the letter. Christian displays and prayer from the Bible may not be alliance with any particular religious denomination, but they crush the spirit of inclusion. How can we say, "Sure you can pick your own God (or not)" on the one hand, and on the other say, "Bob, could you turn on the tree lights while Jan leads us in a group recitation of Matthew 6:9? Would all who care to, pray this way? And the rest of you can think about the Third Tradition and fume."
