A "Platform Manner" Calls for Quick Exit
The evolution of the A.A. speaker is an interesting phenomenon to watch and perhaps it offers a warning that has to do with one of the most dangerous bogs encountered along the road to recovery.
Most alcoholics have an aversion to platform speaking--that is, when sober--though they may do plenty of talking at the bar, with or without introduction, when drinking.
