Push-button Sobriety and AA Grass Roots

I WAS a country boy originally. But as a working drunk I did most of my gin shopping in big town bistros. By the time the roof caved in and AA dragged me, rum-dum, out of the debris, I had become a "typical" New Yorker. Of the Skid Row Set, but a New Yorker nevertheless.
