The Man Who Stayed Around

BOB IS ONE OF THOSE REALLY AMAZING MIRACLES OF AA. A pro fighter as a youngster, with a money-mad manager who would let him get his head beat off for a dollar, he was a hopeless punch-drunk before he ever touched a drop of alcohol. He became a floating boomer, a machinist by trade, and has probably slept in every hobo jungle in this country, and in many of its jails. A car smashed into him--drunk in Washington State--crushed practically every bone in his body (he is still pretty badly crippled up) and he was given up for dead.
