What Is a Drink?
A DRINK CAN BE MANY THINGS besides a quencher of thirst. A drink can be as measurable as a rock or as hard to portray as a chimera. What is a drink? An ounce and a half of amber velvet, the cool crystal of gin and vermouth, the somber fire of mellow brandy. It can be the pale heat of vineyards in wine as red as rubies or blood, wine pale as a wraith or dark as cool beer.
