THIS IS a true story about Warren Coyle (not his real name, of course) and me, about how we loved the same demanding mistress, about how I jilted her but he didn't, and about how I passed up three chances to show him how. With this story, I am trying to present an honest, hard look at what a too literal or too rigid interpretation of anonymity can do to one man's peace of mind and another man's chances.
