You've Got to Be Kidding!

If you think you have it so rough, follow this nurse on her rounds

LAST NIGHT, I leaned over the bedside table and gave my patient a pain-killer. As I did so, I spoke these words: "It's a progressive disease."

You in AA who grouse and complain that your medicine is so bitter, so hard to take--you've got to be kidding! So simple a formula for living, and yet I hear around discussion groups the grousers saying, "Oh, I get discouraged." Really, I think a well-placed kick in the rear for our childishness might be the best medicine for what can be described as complacency.
