AA's universal principles are a way of life for others, too

WHEN AA INITIALLY opened its doors and hearts to me, I felt I had joined a unique group of people. I thought I was being initiated into a secret set of ideas and principles that applied only to alcoholics. For a time, I wrapped myself in the cocoon of separateness that I perceived AA to be.
