A Close Call
She made a commitment that night to put her sobriety first
I'll always remember Tuesday, June 11. It was the day I hit my emotional bottom and the day I came frighteningly close to throwing away three years of continuous sobriety.
This was during the fourth year of a very ugly custody battle. My former husband had taken a job out of state and was suing for custody of our son. We had attended two court hearings in the past two weeks, and were facing an all-day custody hearing scheduled for sometime in July.
