Clueless

I got sober in Minnesota--land of 10,000 treatment centers. My father had moved there four years earlier (when I was thirteen) and gotten sober. My mother had done just enough time in Al-Anon, before they divorced, to recognize my alcoholism. When Dad left, I started to experiment with alcohol and drugs. My parents had enough individual experience with the program that I was diagnosed immediately. They dogged me so much that I stopped for a while.
