I WAS sober a year and preparing to celebrate on a Sunday afternoon in January 1995 at my then home group. I had some words with my wife of over 15 years when she dropped the bomb. She said it was all over; she was filing for a divorce. I had heard those words many times before but I knew they were real this time. Needless to say, I was crushed.
